Elder Parole - NYS Bill S2423
grants early parole eligibility to anyone turning 55 that has served 15 years of their sentence, regardless of the crime(s) committed or even if they were given life sentences.
Fair and Timely Parole - NYS Bill S307
mandates the release of criminals on their first date of eligibility
"Provides that the Board of Parole shall release incarcerated persons who are eligible for release on parole, unless the parole case record demonstrates there is a current and unreasonable risk the individual will violate the law if released"
